On the road from Tripoli to Argolis via Achladokampos, after the village of Agiorgitika on the right of the road, there is a hill where you can see the crumbling ruins of a fort. It is the Mouhli hill, an offshoot of Mount Partheni.
During the Byzantine period, an important Byzantine fortress and medieval city was built there on the western and southwestern side of the hill.
The fortress was contemporary with that of Goula in Nestani. Around 1460, the city and its castle were burned and destroyed by Mohammed II the Conqueror.
In its heyday, the Medieval era, Mouhli was considered equal and compared to Mystra and Monemvasia.
