To the east of the village of Marpissa rises the hill of Kefalos, on the top of which the ruins of a Venetian castle are preserved, built around 1500 by the Venetian lord of Paros A. Somaripas. Here is also the monastery of Agios Antonios (16th century) with a wood-carved iconostasis and icons of great value.
