AGRIOSYKIA CASTLE - Tilos

In the year 1366, Tilos was given by the Knights of Rhodes as a fief to Barello Assanti d'Ischia with the order to effectively fortify Tilos and with the obligation to send to Rhodes, the Grand Master, hunting falcons as well as the spoils from the wrecks they would locate in the area.

Among the castles built at that time was the Castle of Agriosykia, southwest of Livadia.

Today, from the medieval castle part of its walls as well as church ruins are preserved. From the Castle of Agriosykia you can enjoy an amazing view of the island and the Aegean Sea.
