In the area of the village of Asklipeio, on a hill 250 m high, dominates the Castle of Asklipeio. Its name is related to the cult of Asclepius in the area. The Castle was built in this strategic position to protect the settlement. Its construction dates back to the 15th century and was completed in two building phases. In the 1st phase belongs the square-shaped fortification with the 4 towers in the corners, while in the 2nd phase the tower of the northwest corner was repaired and the entrance pillar was built. The base of the southwest corner tower is also preserved. The Castle is surrounded on the outside by a wall of irregular masonry, 1.30-1.50 m thick. Inside there are 2 cisterns and ruins of buildings. The main entrance has an arched opening with a lintel and frame.
