Between the villages of Agios Vassilis and Platanaki of Kynouria, in the area where there is a typical medieval tower, is located the ancient count Glyppia and its castle.
Testimony to its existence are scattered remains, such as fragments of pottery and ancient vessels, as well as part of an ancient statue at the entrance of the adjacent church of Paleopanagia.
