During the excavations in ancient Pella, impressive bathing facilities were discovered, originally dating from around 325-300 BC. and is one of the oldest in Greece.
These facilities were public baths, equipped with innovative water and sewage systems, a swimming pool, a sauna, as well as individual and group baths!..
the bath complex was modernized in 275-250 BC, in the years of Antigonus Gonatas, with the addition of underfloor heating and underground ducts for warm and cold water.
