One of the most important attractions of the prefecture of Kilkis, is the imposing Allied Monument of Doirani. This is the monument to the fallen of the First World War, a remnant of the bloody conflicts that took place in the area during the period 1916 - 1918. From this point of the area, the visitor can enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramas of the lake, with the Mount Beles is reflected in its calm waters.
