Above the village of Agios Achilleios, on the hill, is built the modest church of Ag. Achilles. From this point begins the path to the ruins of the basilica of Ag. Achilleio which was built in the 10th century by Tsar Samuel. Agios Achillios has been the center of "Prespeia" cultural events for years, with exhibitions, concerts and theatrical performances by notable artists. Initially, people came to the island by boat and with the help of the army, but in recent years a bridge has been built and it is easier to come.
