THREE CHURCHES (Archaeological Site)

THREE CHURCHES (Archaeological Site) - Paros

At a distance of one kilometer from Parikia, on the road to Naoussa, there are the ruins of the early Christian basilica of the "three churches". Here, on the ruins of a three-aisled early Christian basilica from 525 - 550, three other churches were built later (in the 17th century). Much of the marble used for the early Christian church (basilica) came from the ruins of ancient temples and buildings.
