The Conservatory in the ancient city of Thassos was built in Roman times. It is located to the south of the market and to the southeast of the paved courtyard with the 100 marble slabs.
This marble building has an orchestra in the shape of a two-thirds circle, a pillar on which the steps rest, internal vaulted corridors, seats for spectators which are separated from the orchestra. Six steps divide the rows of seats into five stands.
