EARLY CHRISTIAN CEMETERY COMPLEX OF KASOS

At the site of Hochlakoulias near the early Christian basilica of Exestratikos (of Brigadier Generals Michael and Gabriel), three tombs have been found that are preserved in good condition. This burial complex dates from the 5th or 6th century AD. and is carved into soft, porous, volcanic rock. It is assumed that in the past the graves had been opened and collected, while they probably come from the early Christian settlement that existed in the area.

You will meet the burial ensemble on the road that leads from Fry to Emporios and at a distance of about 500 meters, at the location of Hochlakoulias near the early Christian basilica of Exestratikos (Tagiarchons Michael and Gabriel).
