Kasos (Archaeological Site)

Surface finds of Minoan character (16th - 15th century BC) near the port of Chelatros. Island of Dodecanese where Dorians settled.
The ancient city of Kasos (pronounced Polion, Poli) had an acropolis on Kastro hill, from which the wall is preserved. A paved road led to the port of Emporio. Other installations of the historical period at the sites of Ofrys (Fry) and Chelatros. Votive inscriptions of sailors carved into the rock in the Greek Letters position.
In Emporio, on the site of the church of Panagia, ruins of an early Christian basilica with a baptistery, where fragments of a mosaic floor. In front of the archangelos Michael, between Fry and Emporio, early Christian mosaic floor.
